How can I calculate my AP electricity bill?

Select the LT category printed on your bill, enter monthly units (kWh) and connected load when asked, then calculate. The tool applies the published APERC FY 2026-27 energy, fixed and customer charges. For a household, use the domestic calculator; shops and offices should use the commercial calculator.

What does one unit of electricity mean?

One unit is one kilowatt-hour (kWh). It is the energy used by a 1,000-watt appliance running for one hour. Your bill’s units are usually present meter reading minus previous meter reading.

Is this an official AP electricity calculator?

No. This is an independent, unofficial estimator. It is not affiliated with APERC, APSPDCL, APCPDCL, APEPDCL or the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Always confirm rates and pay dues on official DISCOM websites.

Why is my actual bill different?

Official bills can include electricity duty, meter rent, subsidies, rebates, delayed payment surcharge, arrears, or adjustments for estimated readings. A wrong category, load or billing-period length also changes the result. Compare line items, not only the total.

Which DISCOM serves my district?

Andhra Pradesh is served by APEPDCL (eastern districts), APCPDCL (central) and APSPDCL (southern). Use the Pay Bill page to find your district, or open the APSPDCL, APCPDCL and APEPDCL reference pages.

How do I pay my AP electricity bill online?

Open your DISCOM’s official payment page from this site’s Pay Bill section, enter your 13-digit service number, verify the amount and pay by UPI, net banking or card. Payments never happen on this website.

Does the calculator include subsidies and arrears?

No. Subsidies, arrears, electricity duty and most miscellaneous charges are account-specific and appear only on the official bill. The estimate covers published energy, fixed and customer charges for the selected LT category.

What tariff year is used?

This site uses the APERC LT retail supply schedule for FY 2026-27, effective 25 March 2026 as transcribed for this app. If a later order changes rates, the official tariff order and your DISCOM bill take precedence.
